On Tuesday 8 July, the European Commission launched a four-week call for contributions to prepare a possible delegated act on a new energy label for low-temperature radiators. Its intention is to finalise these rules by the end of 2026.
The initiative aims to stimulate the uptake of low temperature heat emitters, which play an important role in the deployment of heat pumps, in order to increase energy efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of heating systems.
“The energy label for low-temperature emitters will aim to display the information needed to enable consumers to compare different low-temperature emitters and installers to offer their customers appropriate low-temperature emitters”, says the Commission in a press release.
The call for contributions is open until 29 July. To consult it: https://aeur.eu/f/hrw (Original version in French by Pauline Denys)
