27/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – Eleven executives of the Italian chemical company Miteni were sentenced to up to 17 years in prison for polluting the water at the Miteni plant in Vicenza with PFAS on Thursday 26 June. According to Cristina Guarda MEP (Greens/EFA, Italian), “this judgement also has great political significance, as it enshrines the polluter pays principle”.
