European Commission announces creation of new prize, supported by Erasmus+, to encourage sport and physical activity

11/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 11 June, the European Commission announced the launch of a new prize, funded by Erasmus+. The BeActive EU Sport Award will reward initiatives in the field of sport and physical activity. The projects will be divided into five categories: physical activity, inclusion, volunteering, across generations and peace. With a total budget of €125,000, this initiative follows on from the BeActive Awards and the BeInclusive EU Sport Awards.
