EU calls for immediate resumption of humanitarian aid to Gaza

On Tuesday 29 April, the EU’s ambassador to the United Nations, Stavros Lambrinidis, called for the resumption of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The food stocks of the World Food Programme (WFP) and several international NGOs are completely empty, while the aid blockade imposed by Israel has continued for 60 days. 

“Unimpeded access and distribution of humanitarian aid and the supply of electricity to Gaza must resume immediately”, stressed Mr Lambrinidis during a debate at the UN...
