30/04/25 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 29 April, the Federated Advanced Cyber-physical Test range (FACT) consortium announced at its third end-user conference in Copenhagen on 28 and 29 April that the design of the FACT system has been completed and the first proof of concept is under development. FACT aims to provide an unprecedented new European capability to test and verify the cyber vulnerability of military equipment in response to rapidly evolving cyber threats of various types embedded in military operational technology (OT). It is co-financed by the European Commission as part of the European Defence Fund (2022 edition), to the tune of €26.9 billion over three years. Coordinated by Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace, the project brings together 18 companies and one university from 15 Member States. (CG)
