The Committee on Legal Affairs of the European Parliament has decided “unanimously” that the European Commission should not have used Article 122 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU (TFEU) to present its proposal for a regulation establishing the Security Action for Europe (SAFE) to strengthen European defence (see EUROPE B13603A8).
