BEUC concerned about European ambitions to review content of Data Protection Regulation

In a letter dated Thursday 24 April, the European Consumers’ Organisation (BEUC) said it was opposed to a revision of the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which would amount to opening “Pandora’s box”.

In its letter to the Commissioner for Technological Sovereignty, Henna Virkkunen, and the Commissioner for Justice, Michael McGrath, BEUC expresses its concern about the “legislative and legal uncertainties” that could result from amending the Regulation.
