24/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – Senior officials from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) (from the GCC secretariat and Kuwait, which holds the presidency) and the EU – along with officials from the European External Action Service – met in Brussels on Thursday 24 April for the second EU-GCC dialogue on regional security. In particular, they discussed the Middle East and Ukraine, as well as progress and new measures to strengthen cooperation in agreed areas. These include the fight against terrorism, maritime security, cyber and hybrid threats, non-proliferation and disarmament, disaster prevention, emergency preparedness and management, and the fight against drug trafficking and international organised crime.
