14/03/25 (Agence Europe) – Erasmus+ sports activities will receive a real boost in the coming year. According to data published on Thursday 13 March by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), 2,390 proposals were registered at the end of the call for proposals, which closed on 5 March, representing an increase of 34% compared with 2024. The European Union is expected to finance around 335 projects with a total budget of €61,595,000. As the EACEA press release points out, Erasmus+ actions in the field of sport respond to societal challenges linked to sport. The aim is to fund projects that encourage participation in sport, physical activity and volunteering. To consolidate this European support, a consultation on the drafting of the next EU budget is open until 6 May (https://aeur.eu/f/fyi ).
