10/02/2025 (Agence Europe) – Contrary to what we wrote on 6 February (see EUROPE 13574/27), no agreement has been reached between the Council of the EU and the European Parliament on the definition of transnational issues. This is due to the fact that both institutions would have had to agree that the current scope of transnationality is limiting and should be extended to cases where workers are indirectly affected, an EU Council source told Agence Europe on 10 February. An agreement was reached at this first negotiation meeting that transnational issues should not cover day-to-day decisions, but those that are important to workers. (SP)
