28/01/25 (Agence Europe) – Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico will return to Brussels on Thursday, 30 January, to exchange views with European Commission officials on the consequences of the agreement on the transit of Russian gas via Ukraine ending on 1 January (see EUROPE 13551/13). Mr Fico had already had a discussion with European Commissioner for Energy Dan Jørgensen in Brussels on 9 January and had called on [Ukraine] to “take an active part in further negotiations” within the framework of a high-level working group created with the European Commission to monitor the situation (see EUROPE 13556/25). A press conference is scheduled to be held immediately after this next exchange on Thursday, 30 January, at 6:00 pm. (PLD)
