European Commission sends electricity generators to Ireland, hit by storm Éowyn

28/01/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 28 January, the European Commission sent electricity generators to Ireland, where storm Éowyn has caused power cuts. Thirteen electricity generators from the Commission’s rescEU strategic reserve in Poland and four generators provided by Denmark were supplied after Ireland activated the civil protection mechanism.
