Launch of a European initiative for AI-enabled smart cities

12/12/2024 (Agence Europe) – The European consortium ‘CitiVerse EDIC’, a European instrument built as part of the 2030 policy programme for the digital decade, was officially launched in Valencia on Thursday 12 December. Supported by €80 million in funding from Digital Europe, it offers artificial intelligence tools for managing traffic, energy and water in cities, as well as immersive technologies to enable citizens to participate in the development of their city.
