Updating of EU Member States’ population figures for calculating qualified majority voting in EU Council

12/12/24 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 11 December, the ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) approved the population figures for each EU country with a view to the application in 2025 of the provisions relating to qualified majority voting within the EU Council.
