EU Council renews EU sanctions linked to support for armed conflict

10/12/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 9 December, the Council of the European Union extended the EU sanctions relating to human rights violations, electoral obstruction and support for armed conflict, instability and insecurity in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Those targeted are subject to an asset freeze, a ban on being financed by EU citizens or companies and a ban on travelling in the EU.
