02/12/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 2 December, the European Commission launched a targeted consultation on the 2025 Rule of Law Report in order to gather public contributions on developments related to the rule of law at both national and EU level, according to a press release. The consultation is open to judicial associations, civil society, NGOs, international organisations, EU agencies and other interested parties. The next edition of the annual report, which looks at the independence of the judiciary, media freedom, the checks and balances and the anti-corruption framework, should also include a new chapter on the single market and its proper functioning in terms of respect for the rule of law.
