Brussels, 19/11/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 19 November, the European Space Agency (ESA) announced that it was extending its commitment to the new generation of European commercial launch services through its ‘Boost!’ programme, by granting contract extensions to four companies for the deployment of their launch services: Hyimpulse, Isar Aerospace, Orbex and Rocket Factory Augsburg. Explaining that the months leading up to an inaugural flight can be financially critical for companies, ESA announced that it had committed a total of €44.22 million in co-financing, reinforcing its role in empowering these space launch companies as they move from technical development to the start-up of operational services, the Agency said in a statement.
