15/10/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 15 October, the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre launched the information platform of the Innovation Centre for Industrial Transformation and Emissions (INCITE), which helps European industry to identify innovative solutions for pollution control, in line with Directive 2024/1785 on industrial emissions. Through this platform, INCITE will foster cooperation between stakeholders for faster deployment of innovative technologies, support national authorities in granting operating permits, facilitate the development of environmental standards through the ‘Sevilla’ process, which helps public authorities grant industrial operating permits in the EU, provide information to sustainable finance players with the aim of identifying promising technologies and disseminate the results of projects co-financed by the EU via the ‘Innovation Fund’ and the Horizon Europe and LIFE programmes.
