MEPS elect 13 of 45 parliamentary delegation chairs

01/10/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 30 September, MEPs elected 13 of the institution’s 45 parliamentary delegation chairs. Daniel Caspary (EPP, German) was elected to head the Delegation for relations with Israel, while Lynn Boylan (The Left, Irish) was appointed Chair of the Delegation for relations with Palestine. As for relations with the Western Balkans, Austrian MEP Thomas Waitz (Greens/EFA) has been elected as the new chair of the EU-Montenegro Stabilisation and Association delegation, while his colleague Davor Ivo Stier (EPP, Croatian) will head the delegation for relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo. Marco Tarquinio (S&D, Italian) will be the new chair of the Delegation for Albania. Brando Benifei (S&D, Italian) was elected to chair the delegation for relations with the United States.
