14/06/24 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 14 June, the European Commission launched a call for proposals under the Technical Support Instrument (TSI) to help Member States prepare their national plans for implementing the ‘Pact on Migration and Asylum’, according to a press release. Member States must finalise their plans by 12 December 2024. “The TSI can offer Member States targeted support to carry out situational analysis and identify what needs to be done to implement the Pact. It can make recommendations across a broad scope of thematic areas”. In the field of migration and asylum, “the TSI has so far supported 21 Member States in their reform efforts in a wide range of policy areas, including migration management, asylum and reception, legal migration and the attraction, integration and inclusion of talent”.
