European Union’s first text against gender-based and domestic violence has come into force

13/06/24 (Agence Europe) – The European directive aimed at combating domestic violence and violence against women (see EUROPE B13398A17) came into force on Thursday 13 June. Although it does not define rape at European level, it introduces preventive measures and raises awareness of consent.
