Official development assistance from G7 and EU to Africa is close to its lowest level in 50 years, according to NGO ‘One’

13/06/24 (Agence Europe) – The G7 and EU institutions’ share of official development assistance (ODA) to Africa is close to its lowest level in 50 years, according to the non-governmental organisation ‘One’, founded by singer Bono in 2004. Based on figures from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the NGO reported on Tuesday 11 June that aid to developing countries had risen from $78 billion (at current prices) in 2006 to $176 billion in 2022....
