AfD has to wait for French parliamentary elections to find out whether it can rejoin ID group in European Parliament

The fate of the German party Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD) - whether or not it will be reintegrated into the Identity and Democracy political group in the European Parliament - was not decided when the leaders of the leaders of the member parties of the ID party met on Wednesday 12 June, in Brussels.

According to one source, the Rassemblement National wants to wait until after the French parliamentary elections, on 7 July, before making a decision. There would appear to be two reasons...
