On Monday 27 May, the Council of the EU approved the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), which was the subject of an interinstitutional agreement on 5 December (see EUROPE B13307A4) and had already been approved by the European Parliament on 23 April (see EUROPE B13397A15).
This regulation establishes a general framework for the introduction of environmental sustainability standards for most products sold in the EU.
