07/03/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 6 March in Brussels, the European Women’s Lobby (EWL) launched its campaign ‘Europe at a Crossroads - Equal Participation of Women at All Levels’ with a view to the forthcoming European elections. Building on its manifesto for a holistic feminist agenda, the EWL urges future EU leaders, political parties and citizens to place women’s rights and gender equality at the heart of the mandate of the European institutions. At the meeting organised by the EWL to mark the occasion, key players from the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council and civil society discussed achievements in women's rights, future challenges and the vision of a feminist Europe.
