21/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 21 February, the Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament’s political groups decided to refer the final decision on suspending the entry of Amazon lobbyists to the European Parliament to the Quaestors. But a “clear signal” would have been sent “in the direction of a suspension” of their access, said a source. The final decision will be made next week. On Monday 5 February, the chairman of the European Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL), Dragoş Pîslaru, officially requested that this access be withdrawn as long as the American group refuses to talk to MEPs about the working conditions of its employees in the European Union (see EUROPE 13343/24).
