EU’s Court of Auditors highlights lack of transparency and consistency in ‘conditionality/rule of law’ regulation

In a special report published on Thursday 22 February, the EU’s Court of Auditors presented its observations on the framework for the protection of the EU’s financial interests. Since 2021, the Conditionality Regulation has strengthened this framework in order to improve respect for the rule of law.
