Cooperation, regulatory overhaul and resilience, European Commission presents its White Paper of initiatives on future of telecommunications

On Wednesday 21 February, the European Commission unveiled its White Paper on the future of Europe’s telecommunications and digital infrastructure, which is intended to guide forthcoming legislative proposals between now and 2025.

This White Paper, accompanied by a recommendation on the safety of submarine cables, is the culmination of several months of reflection on the overhaul of the EU’s digital network legislation and telecommunications regulations (see EUROPE B13269A9).
