GDPR – European Parliament committee adopts ‘Lagodinsky’ report providing for standardisation of deadlines for handling complaints

On Thursday, 15 February, MEPs in the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) approved (32 votes in favour, 24 against, and 4 abstentions) the report by Sergey Lagodinsky (Greens/EFA, German) on introducing a new set of additional procedural rules under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and thus decided their position in preparation for future interinstitutional negotiations (see EUROPE B13350A39).
