Berlinale 2024, fifteen films supported by European Union competing for awards

15/02/2024 (Agence Europe)Fifteen films supported by the European Union are in the running for various prizes at the 74th Berlinale, the Berlin International Film Festival, which opened on Thursday 15 February. “Another End”, “Architecton” and “Des Teufels Bad” have been shortlisted in the “Competition” category and are competing for the Golden and Silver Bears. Twelve other films have been nominated for awards at the Berlinale, including independent prizes. These films have received almost €700,000 in funding from the EU’s Creative Europe programme. The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony on 24 February. In addition, the European Film Market will be held with the participation of the European Commission, which will also organise a round table on 17 February to discuss prospects for the European content market.
