Increased budget and improved 2023 results for European Court of Human Rights

At the Council of Europe Summit in Reykjavik last May, “provision for more sustainable resources to enable the Court to exercise its judicial functions effectively [...] was promised (and) those resources later followed in the budgetary round which concluded last November”, said a delighted Siofra O’Leary, President of the European Court of Human Rights, at the start of her presentation of the Strasbourg Court’s 2023 Review.
