25/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has decided, through an implementing regulation published in the Official Journal of the EU on Thursday 25 January, to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in China, following an expiry review of the provisional anti-dumping duty. This measure was also extended to shipments from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand because of a number of cases of circumvention. The current investigation was launched in November 2022, following a request for a review submitted in August by Tech-Fab Europe on behalf of the EU open mesh fabrics of glass fibres industry. Following its investigations, the Commission recognised the risk of recurrence of dumping. It imposed a definitive duty applicable to the net price, ranging from 48.4% to 62.9%.
