18/12/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 18 December, the European Central Bank (ECB) announced the launch of a public consultation on a draft revision of its regulation on investment fund statistics (ECB/2013/38). The amended draft regulation introduces additional reporting obligations. The proposed changes aim to improve data quality and analyses of developments in the euro area investment fund industry, including features that support other ECB datasets. The institution indicates, for example, that most of the data will be collected on a monthly basis and that the requirements will include additional breakdowns of assets and liabilities.
