On Friday 15 December, the European Commission received payment requests from three Member States - Cyprus, Romania and Slovakia - under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) (see EUROPE 13310/34).
For Cyprus, this is its second payment request, amounting to €152 million in grants net of pre-financing, for an overall recovery and resilience plan worth €1.22 billion.
For Romania, this is the third payment request, amounting to €2 billion in grants and loans, not including pre-financing. Its overall recovery and resilience plan will be financed to the tune of €28.5 billion.
As for Slovakia, this is its fourth payment request. It amounts to €799 million in subsidies net of pre-financing for an overall recovery and resilience plan that will be financed to the tune of €6.4 billion.
The Commission will now assess the requests and will then send the Economic and Financial Committee its preliminary assessments of the achievement of the milestones and targets required for these payments.
