EU Council appoints two new European auditors

On Tuesday 12 December, the Council of the European Union appointed Finland’s Petri Sarvamaa as a member of the European Court of Auditors. The current Belgian member, Annemie Turtelboom, has also been reappointed for another term. At the same time, the European Parliament voted in favour of the appointments of Hans Lindblad and João Leão.

Mr Sarvamaa (EPP), who has been an MEP since 2012, has been an active member of the European Parliament’s Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT)....
