“To not strengthen cohesion policy is to condemn the European project” says Vasco Alves Cordeiro

“The Covid-19 pandemic, the climate crisis and Russia’s war on Ukraine have created new inequalities and exacerbated existing structural vulnerabilities in Europe. The only way to reverse this trend is to strengthen European cohesion policy and make it more effective”, said Vasco Alves Cordeiro, President of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), and Emil Boc, President of the Commission for Territorial Cohesion Policy and EU Budget (COTER), on Wednesday 6 December.
