HERA and an office of US Department of Health support development of diagnostic devices for respiratory diseases

On Wednesday 6 December, the European Commission announced that, to strengthen transatlantic cooperation in preparing for and responding to public health threats, the European Health Emergency Response and Preparedness Authority (HERA) and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) in the United States had set themselves the joint objective of advancing the development of next-generation diagnostic devices capable of detecting new respiratory viruses.
