European Parliament supports appointment of Claudia Buch as head of Single Supervisory Mechanism

04/10/23 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 3 October, the European Parliament approved (357 votes in favour, 195 against, 42 abstentions) the appointment of the German Claudia Buch, currently Vice-President of the Bundesbank, as the head of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM). She will succeed Italy’s Andrea Enria for a five-year term starting in January 2024.
