EU agri-food trade rebounds in May 2023

After a slowdown in April (see EUROPE B13230A8), EU agri-food trade rebounded with an increase in imports and exports in May, according to the latest monthly report published on Friday 25 August by the European Commission.

The latest report on EU agri-food trade shows that the biggest rise in exports of these products relative to imports saw the EU’s agri-food surplus rise by 2% month-on-month in May, to €5.2 billion.
