07/06/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 7 June, the European Commission published two implementing regulations renewing an anti-dumping duty on imports from India of certain graphite electrode systems and a countervailing duty on the same products. In December 2021, producers representing around 90% of EU production of these products filed a request for a review of the two measures, fearing that their expiry would encourage the continuation of dumping. After investigation, the Commission considered that it was indeed useful to renew the measures in order to avoid injury to the EU industry.
