16/05/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission opened, on Wednesday 10 May, a consultation period on common logos to be displayed by data intermediation service providers and data altruism organisations recognised in the EU to be easily identified by users under the Data Governance Act (DGA) (see EUROPE 12953/32). This provision should enable users to differentiate between recognised trustworthy services and others in order to “contribute to market transparency”, the Commission says. On 16 May 2022, the Council of the EU validated the political agreement reached with the European Parliament. The text was published on 30 May 2022 in the Official Journal of the EU. From this date, the application of the DGA rules is expected to take 15 months. To see the consultation: https://aeur.eu/f/6wv (TM)
