03/05/2023 (Agence Europe) – Following the agreement reached with the five EU countries bordering Ukraine on 28 April, the European Commission presented its proposal for a €100 million support measure to Member States on Wednesday 3 May: €9.77 million for Bulgaria, €15.93 million for Hungary, €39.33 million for Poland, €29.73 million for Romania and €5.24 million for Slovakia. This amount, taken from the crisis reserve, will help cereal and oilseed producers in these five countries. This support will help to partially offset the problems resulting from the massive imports of agri-food products from Ukraine. At the same time, the five countries committed to lifting their unilateral measures on wheat, maize, rapeseed and sunflower seeds as well as on any other product from Ukraine (see EUROPE 13172/2).
