Council adopts regulation establishing Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism

25/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 25 April, the EU Member States adopted the regulation establishing the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). Only Poland voted against it. Belgium and Bulgaria abstained. This adoption paves the way for the entry into force of the CBAM, at least its transitional phase, from October 2023 until 1 January 2026.
