29/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has rescheduled the adoption of its pharmaceutical package in its indicative agenda for 26 April. The legislative package is expected to include a proposal for a revision of the EU pharmaceutical legislation, a proposal for a revision of the EU legislation on medicines for children and rare diseases, and finally a proposal for a recommendation on European action against antimicrobial resistance. These proposals have been postponed three times. The latest postponement of the Commission’s publication of these proposals, scheduled for 29 March, was met with disapproval by MEPs and stakeholders (see EUROPE 13148/18, 13149/8, 13150/33, 13150/12). They had pointed out that postponing the proposals too late could prevent the legislative work from taking place during this mandate. Link to the indicative agenda: https://aeur.eu/f/63l (EV)
