Amnesty International expresses concern about France’s proposed AI-assisted citizen surveillance law for 2024 Olympics

22/03/23 (Agence Europe) – The NGO Amnesty International called on French lawmakers on Tuesday 21 March to reject plans to allow citizens to be monitored using artificial intelligence (AI) in 2024, the year Paris will host the Olympic Games. “These draconian mass surveillance technologies violate the right to privacy and can lead to violations of the rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly”, commented Amnesty International.
