Thanks to development of clean energy, global CO2 emissions increased less than expected in 2022

In a new report, the International Energy Agency has revealed that CO2 emissions have increased less in 2022 (less than 1%) than initially expected.

This is mainly due to the growth of clean energy, such as solar, wind, electric vehicles and heat pumps, but also energy efficiency, which largely offsets the impact of the increased use of coal and oil, in the context of the energy crisis.
