ECDC considers SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in Europe to be stable, but remains under surveillance

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) announced on 3 March that it was removing the SARS-CoV-2 variants BA.2, BA.4 and BA.5 from its list of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern or VOC.

For the Centre, these parental lineages are no longer in circulation in the notifying countries in the European Union and the European Economic Area.
