The European Commission acknowledged on Monday 6 March that the EU institution’s Director General for Transport (DG MOVE), Henrik Hololei, had himself examined the existence of potential conflicts of interest that could arise from accepting hospitality (flight and stay) from Qatar for business trips while the services under his responsibility were at the same time negotiating an aviation agreement with the emirate(see EUROPE B13134A19).
