European Commission wants to strengthen its dialogue with music sector

18/01/2023 (Agence Europe)On Tuesday 17 January, the European Commission chose a consortium to support it in implementing its “Music Moves Europe” (MME) initiative. Composed of the organisations Eurosonic Noorderslag (Netherlands), ARTmania (Romania), Linecheck (Italy), MaMa (France), Reeperbahn Festival (Germany) and Tallinn Music Week (Estonia), it will be responsible for organising two EU conferences on developments in the music sector as well as a series of dialogues to strengthen the exchange on EU-related issues, such as funding opportunities. The first dialogue will be held in Tallinn from 11 to 14 May 2023. In the context of the MME initiative, on Thursday 12 January, the Commission also published a study identifying the mental and physical health risks faced by people in the music industry.
