More than 100 stakeholders have already signed charter for European ‘Ocean’ Mission

Brussels, 15/12/2022 (Agence Europe)The European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel, announced on Thursday 15 December that more than 100 stakeholders have already signed the charter encouraging participation in the European ‘Ocean’ Mission (see EUROPE 12985/23), committing themselves to take action for the health of the oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters. The European Missions were launched as part of Horizon Europe to foster public, private and civil society involvement in order to address societal challenges in an innovative way. The first five European missions are: climate change and adaptation, cancer control, healthy oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters, smart and carbon-neutral cities, and soil health and food.
